About The Mini Cup Race Car Mini-cups are ½ scale or “miniature” versions of a Winston Cup car. The cars are built using a 4-point roll cage system consisting of 1” x.095 DOM tubing. They are equipped with racing seats, 5-point restraint systems, foam filled fuel cells, window nets, fire extinguishers and many more safety features. The cars are powered by Honda GX-390 K1 engines rated at 13 hp. which are capable of speeds in excess of 100mph! The cars have plenty of adjustments such as toe in/out, caster / camber, wedge and air pressure. The bodies are constructed of fiberglass and come in most all makes and models. To sum it up, they are SAFE, FAST, AFFORDABLE and FUN! Don’t miss the opportunity, this is every race fans chance to get out of the stands and onto the track! |

Look interesting? Well its even more fun than it looks!
The Virginia Mini-Cup Racing Association Inc. is one of the oldest and largest mini-cup
divisions on the East Coast. We were formed in 1996 by a group of racers with a dream of
providing AFFORDABLE, FAMILY ORIENTED, yet COMPETITIVE racing, and we have
done so! The VMCRA Inc. is a NON-PROFIT Association that puts race money back where it belongs… in the hands of the racers. From our humble beginning with only 6 cars, we have grown to a nationally known and respected Association with over 30 paid members! Our average car count for 2003 was 24 cars per event. We sanction 17 – 22 races per season at several tracks with varying sizes and layouts. We put you under the lights at tracks such as Southside Speedway, Concord Motorsports Park, New River Valley Speedway, South Hampton Speedway, Myrtle Beach Speedway, Friendship Speedway and many more. We maintain an official Points Championship just like Nextel Cup where each and every driver is recognized at every event as well as at our Post Season Awards Banquet. Cash prizes are paid to EVERY position at our events with last place receiving at least the entry fee in most cases. At the Awards Banquet, every driver is again recognized with a trip to the podium to receive trophies, cash and or prizes consisting of new parts / race wear, etc.
